Wed, 19 Nov 2008 00:45:37 PST- Kentucky Football has seen a rapid rise in the past two seasons, both of which were capped off by bowl victories. But with significant losses on offense, expectations weren't quite as high entering this season.
Yet, heading into this week's bye, Kentucky Football has a chance to match last year's accomplishments, which would have to be considered a step forward for Rich Brooks' program.
The Wildcats (6-5) have a shot to reach last year's eight-win total, but they must regroup mentally and physically before traveling to Tennessee on Nov. 29.
Consecutive tough losses to Georgia and Vanderbilt have put a damper on Kentucky's hopes of reaching a higher-profile bowl game. But with a win in Knoxville, the Wildcats appear to be in good position to reach a third consecutive Music City...
Sat, 15 Nov 2008 20:38:17 PST-
D.J. Moore scored touchdowns on his first two career receptions and added two critical interceptions, and Vanderbilt beat Kentucky Football 31-24 Saturday night to gain bowl eligibility for the first time in 26 years. Twice in the last three seasons, the Commodores (6-4, 4-3) could have ended their postseason drought by simply beating a Kentucky Football team that had long joined them at the bottom of the...
Sat, 15 Nov 2008 19:25:00 PST- Once again, Kentucky Football took its time getting warmed up, and once again its furious rally fell a bit short.

Sat, 08 Nov 2008 15:13:39 PST-Getting 282 pounds off the ground isn't easy. Georgia defensive lineman Demarcus Dobbs didn't have a choice. Stretching every last bit of his 6-foot-2 frame, Dobbs snared a screen pass by Kentucky Football quarterback Randall Cobb with his massive right hand and held on as he fell to the ground to preserve No.

Wed, 19 Nov 2008 07:00:12 GMT- NEXT GAME: Kentucky Football at Tennessee, Nov. 29.
PLAYERS TO WATCH:
QB Randall Cobb -- He has been fantastic since taking over the starting role from Mike Hartline. But how will the true freshman bounce back from two emotionally draining losses?
WR E.J. Adams -- No one has stepped up since leading receiver Dicky Lyons Jr. was lost for the season with an ACL injury. But Adams, a converted defensive back, had his biggest day as a receiver in last week's loss to Vanderbilt.

Wed, 19 Nov 2008 07:00:11 GMT- SCOUTING THE OFFENSE: The big plays the offense experienced last season just haven't been there this year. Obviously, losing quarterback Andre Woodson, wide receivers Keenan Burton and Steve Moore and tight end Jacob Tamme has hurt. The Wildcats had hoped some new young playmakers would develop. Unfortunately, that hasn't happened. The Kentucky Football offense has produced only three scoring plays over 40 yards this season.
Tue, 18 Nov 2008 13:16:02 GMT-Tennessee has been the beneficiary of several games between them and the Kentucky Football Wildcats. But now that the Volunteers are losing long-time coach Phillip Fulmer, the Wildcats may be in line to benefit by gaining one of the Vols recruits, Toney Williams.
